Agents of Change Through Design
At Ballyhoo taking an active part in giving back to our community is central to our mission. We have partnered with Mighty Ally to put our design skills to use helping the global community. Mighty Ally is a social impact agency, arming underserved change makers in the fight to meet basic human needs.
Mighty Ally serves nonprofits and social enterprises with proven models but insufficient capacity needed to attract more support and amplify their impact. Strategy, operations, and marketing are the backbone of their work. They provide those services to organizations, at no upfront cost, to help them accelerate their growth and advance their mission. They recruit agencies, brands, and foundations to form an alliance around the organizations they serve to create stronger, more purposeful brands, meaningfully engaged employees and social enterprises with maximized capacity for impact.
As an Agency Ally, we are an agent of that change through design. We’re able to utilize our design skills and team experience to help these organizations tell their story, and transform audiences into supporters and advocates. The pro bono design work we provide these organizations helps them in their fight for good, and it gives our team the creative freedom to add meaning to their work, create interesting and compelling solutions, and bring that experience back to our clients.
We recently completed our first design project with Mighty Ally for the Lwala Community Alliance, a Nashville-based NGO focused on maternal and child health and HIV prevention and treatment in rural Kenya. Lwala has had much success and impact with their work, but even with global backers and a scalable model, they couldn’t afford full-time marketing staff. Their leaders were stretched thin fulfilling their mission, not executing marketing initiatives.
We were able to partner with Lwala to design high-quality collateral for their annual fundraising campaign. Our team worked to put together information and social media posts that reflected the mission of the organization, as well as demonstrating the impact donations make. The organization was able to exceed their aggressive financial goals, in part due to the solutions Ballyhoo provided them!
