Startup Growth Through Branding
Canopy Biosciences is a source for research tools for genetic engineering, molecular biology and personalized medicine. The company was part of the BioGenerator startup program and was looking to pull in additional funding to grow their business. Canopy was introduced to Ballyhoo through our long-term partnership with BioGenerator. They were familiar with the level of expertise Ballyhoo could bring to a project, as well as the insight for creative solutions in an affordable budget. BioGenerator introduced Crystal Winkeler, co-founder and COO of Canopy, to the Ballyhoo team to get the project started.
Canopy needed to quickly develop a brand identity and sales tools to tell their brand story when meeting with investors. As a startup, they did not have the ability to invest in a full brand campaign; they just needed something down and dirty to get them in front of potential investors.
Fast Turnaround for Fast Growth
Initially, Canopy approached Ballyhoo about developing a PowerPoint template to use for their sales deck. Ballyhoo knows the quick turnaround a startup operates on, and we worked quickly and efficiently to give the client what they needed in the required timeframe. In other words, we didn’t create a lot of hoops and hurdles to jump through when they needed something done quickly and efficiently.
The company was so impressed with the working relationship and final product that they asked us to develop their brand identity including a logo and marketing tools, business cards and one-pager templates, to ensure branding consistency across all media.
Designing Startup to Establishment
The client was thrilled with the work on the presentation and brand identity development. They were able to utilize the tools we created to tell their story to investors and gain additional funding. And our great working relationship led to Canopy recommending us to many of their colleagues.
