Safety in Design
Every year SonicWALL shares the most common cyberattacks observed by the SonicWALL Threat Research Team in their SonicWALL Security Threat Report, and offers a glimpse into emergent threats for the coming year. Their goal is to help organizations of all sizes more effectively prevent attacks, both from known threats and those yet to emerge.
Designed for Collaboration
The SonicWALL Security Threat Report has several contributors continuously providing and reviewing content on a rotating basis, within an extremely tight deadline. Therefore, the need for easy access into the document is a must. Traditionally, this type of document would be developed in InDesign as it offers the right balance of design and document layout options for a highly polished piece. However, this only allows users trained in this software to use it.
Because of all these challenges, the Ballyhoo and SonicWALL teams determined their large-scale document should be produced in Word and their executive summary in PPT, allowing the client the ability to have content control and make their own edits up to the very last minute.
Ballyhoo first designed a look, tone and feel (LTF) for the report that would allow the content to shine while adhering to the SonicWALL brand standards. The design was then applied to working Word and PPT templates, which were distributed to content developers for their individual sections. The Ballyhoo team was then charged with incorporating all final content into one cohesive report with a corresponding PPT summary. Ballyhoo applied their design eye, providing the common visual threads while applying supplemental graphics and design to bring emphasis to certain points.
The final product was a sleek report and summary that allowed both design and content to work fluidly together. All graphics in the report were also re-formatted for Facebook and Twitter enabling the client to reach an even greater audience with their report findings. Ballyhoo recently completed the SonicWALL Security Threat Report for the third year as the partnership has grown.
