Developing a Strategic Plan
Every year, the senior executives of Edward Jones gather for their annual Partners Meeting to share accomplishments, best practices, new programs and plans for the future. Edward Jones realized that to achieve their lofty goals, they needed to begin planning not just a year ahead, but five years ahead. Their multi-year planning prompted them to think way beyond their daily work by setting long-term strategy. Their plans have aligned their work and engaged every associate in a bold future looking vision.
Three senior executives were charged with developing the third installment of a five-year corporate strategic plan. While the details of the plan were nearly ironed out, it was necessary to take the very complex, content-heavy plan and condense it into a high-level 30-minute keynote through executive presentation design. The updates were several years in the making, and the team wanted to ensure their fellow leaders understood the next chapter for the financial giant.
Executive Presentation Design
A former colleague now at Edward Jones reached out to Ballyhoo. She knew sometimes you need an outside perspective!
Ballyhoo had years of executive presentation design experience under their belt. The Ballyhoo team met with the executives to help organize and visually tell their story. Through regular collaboration meetings with the EJ team, they drafted a skeleton deck to outline the story. Once finalized, they took the next step to work with the executives on presentation tips and tools to help ensure each speaker had an opportunity to clearly share their piece of the story.
The Ballyhoo team worked with the executives on delivery tips, speaker transitions and, of course, fine-tuning the visual narrative. The final Ballyhoo contribution included managing rehearsals with the executives, to help ensure all of the pieces came together seamlessly.
Executive Presentation Preparation
At the event the speakers were prepared and personable and presented a clear, concise plan to their fellow leaders. The company continues to get industry accolades as a great organization … the leadership plan is on track!
