Admissions Updates Needed
Washington University in St. Louis is committed to providing a great university experience filled with knowledge, discoveries and intellectual inquiry. School enrollment includes more than 14,000 students from all 50 states and around the world.
The University needed an admissions video refresh for incoming students, parents and job applicants. The University had done in-depth research into the perception of the school. They wanted the video to be current, reflect the personality of the school based on the research and provide a visual reference that also balanced the story.
Ballyhoo had worked with the Olin School of Business at the University on their corporate events. The University had seen firsthand the strategic knowledge and creativity Ballyhoo provided to their clients, so they tapped us for the admissions video refresh along with a team of talented video production experts. Katie Schenck brought more than 20 years of experience in video production to the table and was able to work with the University, and other partners, to craft and manage the development of their video story.
Ballyhoo spent two months shooting interviews and video b-roll throughout the campus, editing motion graphics and building music beds and sound effects to create the final piece. All of this was completed in conjunction with the other partners managing brand and photography work in order to ensure all admissions pieces told a visually consistent story.
Producing Ongoing Partnerships
The University loved the final project. They continue to work with us for an admission video refresh as needed to highlight the latest information about admissions and school achievements. The project also parlayed into our relationship with the team at the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics at the University.
