Katie’s been impressing Ballyhoo Blue Workshop clients for more than 20 years with her creativity and skills in strategic communication, project management and design, and video and event production. Using clear, creative and effective strategies to advance comprehensive communication campaigns and build brand stories, her attention to detail helps her successfully manage projects for clients across the globe. A native of New Orleans – a city so happy and laid back it’s called The Big Easy – the vibrant floats and Mardi Gras celebrations left a lasting impression on Heather. In fact, she co-founded Ballyhoo Blue Workshop to channel the city of her youth and bring bigger, better solutions to her clients. For the last 20 years Heather has been creating executive presentations, logos, infographics and other design assets, and managing projects, corporate events and campaigns for multibillion-dollar companies like Edward Jones, Rackspace and Visa to young startups alike to help them tell their visual brand story. They benefit from her love of creativity and the visual arts and her quick, smart solutions. She’s a creative asset to our clients and the odds-on favorite for finding the baby in the Mardi Gras king cake.
Part planner, part strategist and part creative manager, Justin brings digital storytelling to life at Ballyhoo Blue Workshop. For more than 15 years, he has refined his expertise in business strategy, digital strategy, measurement and analytics, mobile, persona development, planning, social media strategy and website audits. This experience uniquely positions Justin to provide clients with strategic counsel to help solve complex marketing and communications challenges through the fundamental pillars of the Ballyhoo Blue Workshop storytelling model while focusing on measured results. With a passion for both music and getting into the weeds of technology, he understands the balance of that perfect note and loves being at the intersection of strategy and storytelling. Justin has helped tell visual brand stories for clients like the Boy Scouts of America, Dell and the United States Soccer Federation.
Sitting at the tidiest desk at Ballyhoo Blue Workshop, Ashley thrives on an organized life. She applies the same skills to her projects – providing clients with clear, organized and creative design solutions. With more than 11 years of experience, she excels at bringing the pillars of communication and quality to her collaboration with C-level executives and design teams to find the most effective way to communicate their visual brand story – often suggesting innovative ideas that advance the brand. Ashley is a strong team member committed to the success of clients including Dell, BioGenerator and Amazon. We’re convinced she has a magic wand hidden somewhere!
Stephanie began her career working as a darkroom tech for a newspaper during the pre-digital era. She spent countless hours waiting to mark up the negatives before the prints were finalized. It was like boot camp for becoming a patient, efficient and meticulous worker, embodying the pillars of attention to detail and quality in the Ballyhoo Blue Workshop storytelling model. Her colleagues and clients will tell you those are the skills that now make Stephanie so vital to their team. She enjoys partnering with executives and leadership teams to develop and implement engaging, creative communication materials. For more than 12 years, she’s designed, managed and directed projects for clients like CUNA Mutual Group, Washington University and Anheuser-Busch to help them tell their visual brand story. She’s concise, precise and has the patience of a saint. And, did we mention she has the warmest smile and positive attitude?
Melissa likes to keep things nice and cool. Ballyhoo Blue Workshop clients have come to appreciate her grace under fire as well as her creative design skills. She’s incredibly innovative, and team members will tell you one of the quickest, high-level designers they’ve ever had the privilege of working with. Melissa approaches every project through the fundamental pillars of the Ballyhoo storytelling model. For nearly a dozen years she’s worked with senior executives to develop and design presentations, annual reports, brochures, infographics and event collateral to tell the visual brand story for clients such as Acelity, Marriott International and NPD.
Nicole loves a bright pair of running shoes or a rockin’ pair of sunglasses. She brings that sense of style and creativity to help her clients tell their visual brand story in creative ways. For more than a decade Nicole has successfully paired images, audio and words to take design and executive presentation support to new heights. Kristen is the rocker of the Ballyhoo Blue Workshop group. This spirit of independence as a designer brings the fundamental pillars of the Ballyhoo storytelling model into all her projects, pumping her up to tackle clients’ biggest creative and design challenges. She’s successfully led the creative direction, layout and illustration of brochures, print pieces, press kits and presentations for a wide variety of businesses. For nearly 15 years she’s collaborated with senior level executives at clients including Laird, Marriott International and Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Chosen to pilot a design program on the Lisa computer – Steve Job’s first machine – Diane is a trailblazer in graphic design. She helped revolutionize the industry by moving from the drawing board to the computer screen, utilizing software no one else in the area knew at the time. In the three decades since, she’s been working outside the box to develop innovative print and digital solutions that are creative, unique and tailor-made for clients including CUNA Mutual Group, Rackspace and Sara Lee. Diane has been building visual brand stories for clients with the fundamental Ballyhoo Blue Workshop storytelling model before it even existed! Diane is known for taking all obstacles in stride; she says she has a big, bulky computer named Lisa to thank for that.
Katy is a marketing and communications superhero with experience developing strategy and executing programs and campaigns in diverse environments, including B2C, B2B and nonprofit. She’s a versatile writer and content strategist, skilled at distilling complicated subject matter into clear, engaging marketing communications. Like her lifelong idol Wonder Woman, Katy brings truth, honesty and fairness to her work and uses her powers to nurture client and organization partnerships. Her work is driven by the fundamental pillars of the Ballyhoo Blue Workshop storytelling process to provide exceptional customer service and relationship development. Her experience in copywriting, editing, social media, public relations and events has helped her lasso in clients in a wide range of industries.
Angie is a seasoned writer and video producer with a strong background in broadcast journalism including more than a dozen years freelance producing and broadcast reporting/hosting as well as being a newswriting educator. As a current Mid-America EMMY® Trustee, Angie leads the field in video trends and has access to colleague expertise that she brings to the Ballyhoo team. Her extensive knowledge in broadcast journalism complements the Ballyhoo storytelling process and helps us tell video stories in ways you never thought possible!
Jeff brings more than 25 years of experience in video production and editing to the Ballyhoo team. He has worked within companies including Bass Pro Shops and Edward Jones as well as global agencies. Jeff produces and edits using digital motion, 2D and 3D graphics as well as traditional video and sound to serve up the perfect corporate videos, educational pieces, high-energy event opens and more. His dedication to telling a story through visual media complements the Ballyhoo solution offerings and helps us tell big stories in bold new ways.
